Tractor Supply Company, in partnership with the National FFA Foundation, recently announced the fundraising results of its Spring 2016 "Grants for Growing" program. This year, the program raised an astounding $706,987 during the 10-day national in-store fundraiser, funding 374 grants and impacting 39,038 students.

Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retail store chain in the United States, partners with the National FFA Foundation for the "Grants for Growing" program, which raises funds for local FFA chapter initiatives and awards minimum $500 competitive grants to participating chapters. While $500 is the minimum grant amount that will be awarded to selected chapters, there is no cap on the amount of funding that a chapter can choose to request for its project.

The selected chapters can use the funds in a number of ways to benefit their communities including buying vegetation, trees, seed, chickens, feed, mulch or tools to help start or expand an FFA project that will continue for years to come.

"The response to our first national 'Grants for Growing' has been very positive and is a meaningful way to provide critical funding to FFA members who want to make a difference in their communities," said Christi Korzekwa, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Tractor Supply Company. "Tractor Supply's commitment to giving back to the communities that we serve is very important, and this program demonstrates our desire to support our current and future customers as well as our future team members."

Tractor Supply Company and National FFA Foundation now look ahead to the Fall 2016 "Grants for Growing" program.
