Phoenix, Arizona - Kubota Tractor Corp. announced the introduction of several new products from the field and main stage of the company's annual dealer meeting in Phoenix, Ariz. Adding to all segments of its business, the company announced the following:
A new addition to its popular utility vehicle line with the new gas-powered RTV-XG850 Sidekick, the company's fastest utility vehicle yet. Available at Kubota dealerships beginning spring of 2018, the new Sidekick features a 48-HP gasoline engine with speeds up to 40 mph. Equipped with a worry-free Continuously Variable Transmission with Centrifugal Clutch (CVT Plus), the Sidekick's water-cooled engine provides torque for take-off. The Idle Speed Control (ISC) and highland correction provide stable power. The Sidekick is built to handle a wide range of hauling jobs and can carry up to 15.2 cubic feet or half a ton (1,000 lbs./600 lbs.)
Six new M Series specialty ag tractors, with three narrow ROPS tractors, a Power Krawler and high-clearance and low-profile models; The new M Series introductions include the M4N-071 ROPS, M5N-091 ROPS and M5N-111 ROPS narrow tractors; the M5N-091PK Power Krawler tractor; the M6L-111 low profile tractor; and the M6H-101 high clearance tractor. The three new ROPS models include increased alternator capacity, larger radiator and larger diameter cooling fan introduced in the cab models. All engines include a common rail fuel system, intercooler and exhaust gas recirculation, while employing a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and selective catalytic reduction for minimizing emissions. Standard RPM memory settings for repetitious actions enhance performance efficiency.
The M5N-091 PK Narrow Cab tractor also features the Kubota V-3800 Tier 4 engine, along with interior cab upgrades, updated hydraulic capacity and greater track durability through design and material enhancements. Track engineering upgrades and thicker material promotes longevity of the independently oscillating left and right rear tracks, assisting with traction in vineyards and other hilly terrain. Like the other new narrow tractor models, the Power Krawler offers two self-cancelling detent deluxe built-in flow control valves, with an option to add up to five total valves. A redesigned operator station puts all main controls on the operator's right-hand side, and a steering wheel with 40 degrees of tilt. The M5N-091 4WD Narrow Power Krawler has a maximum travel speed of 17.9 mph, an increase over the maximum speed of 13.2 mph of the M8540 PK, which it replaces in Kubota's narrow tractor lineup.
The new M6H-101 and M6L-111 execute high clearance and low profile applications, powered by Tier-4 Kubota Clean Diesel engines. Strawberry and specialty row crop producers have anticipated the M6H-101, which brings top-of-class 25.8 inches of ground clearance. The low profile M6L-111 provides power for tree fruit and nut orchards, as well as poultry operations and other agricultural applications requiring power in a low-clearance design. The new high-clearance and low profile tractors feature the same engine technology in other models of the M6 Series, with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Common Rail System (CRS) that combine with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) muffler and an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system to meet Tier 4 Final emissions regulations.
A new open-station M6S-111 with ROPS, a model for a full range of cattle and hay operations, loader work and mowing. The M6S-111 features a durable Kubota-built V-3800-Tier IV diesel engine. Rated at 104.9 HP and 95 PTO HP the M6S-111 is matched with a complete line of Kubota disc mowers, hay tedders, rakes and BV-Series balers. Constant RPM management memory minimizes repetitive actions, adding performance efficiency in applications like front loader work. The Kubota M6S-111 transmission brings economical, top-of-class versatility required across the full range of haying applications and cattle farm chores. The Swing Shift 16F x 16R transmission comes standard on the M6S-111SHF (2wd) and M6S-111SHD. A 32F x 32R Swing Shift Plus version is also available on the M6S-111SDS2. The Swing Shift actuates the electric over hydraulic range shift to provide eight, or sixteen (Swing Shift Plus), speed options through a single lever control, giving the flexibility needed for load increases, hay tool operation and travel across varying field conditions. Eight additional speeds are activated with the main range lever, positioned to the left of the tractor seat.
And, two new compact excavators, the KX033-4 with an extendable dipper arm, and the U27-4 minimum tail swing excavator. The new KX033-4 with an extendable dipper arm is a new configuration to the existing KX033-4 compact excavator within Kubota's KX Series; this model will be available at dealerships by January of 2018. The new KX033-4 with the extendable dipper arm features an impressive digging depth of 12 feet 2 inches and a digging reach of 18 feet 2 inches. Now operators can have the dig depth and reach of a larger machine with the compact footprint of the KX033-4.
The U27-4, also available Jan. 2018, features adjustable auxiliary flow hydraulics; an auxiliary diverter valve, two-speed automatic downshift travel, as well as best-in-class reach and dig depth. The new U27-4 is equipped with one of the largest operator stations in its class with a minimum tail swing design. An enclosed cab option with heat is also available.
These announcements are in addition to the introduction of three new mowers: Two new Z700 mowers were added to the zero-turn family, and the new WG6-21, a new 21-inch commercial mower, will round out the walk-behind fleet. The new suspension seat allows the operator to customize their ride with the weight adjustment knob. The new seat will allow for up to 3 inches of vertical travel while being able to slide fore and aft 6 inches. With Parker TorqPact HTG 14 transmissions, the most power-dense transmission available for commercial turf applications. In addition, the company announced enhancements to its newly upgraded T Series residential ride-on mower line.
