Birmingham, Alabama - The Progressive Agriculture Foundation (PAF) is pleased to welcome Jana Davidson to the staff as an education content specialist. PAF strives to continuously enhance learning opportunities for children attending Progressive Agriculture Safety Days, and in her role, Davidson will be contributing to that initiative.

Davidson will be responsible for developing and updating new and current curricula, hands-on activities and demonstrations for use at local Safety Days. She also will provide educational content for the Foundation's social media outlets.

Davidson brings experience in curriculum development, youth programs, teaching and social media. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked for 10 years as a 4-H youth development educator for Penn State Extension based in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Davidson earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness management and a master's in education with a focus on teaching and curriculum from Penn State University.

"We're pleased that Davidson has joined the Progressive Agriculture Foundation," says Susan Reynolds Porter, PAF executive director - programs. "Jana has a passion for agriculture and keeping kids safe and healthy on farms and ranches. Currently in her ninth year of coordinating Progressive Agriculture Safety Days for her local community, Jana brings a wealth of personal knowledge about the education needs of the Foundation."

The Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program is the largest rural safety and health education program for children in North America and a program of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. The Foundation's mission is to provide education and training to make farm, ranch and rural life safer and healthier for children and their communities. In 2008, PAF was awarded the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance National Charity Seal, demonstrating its commitment to accountability and ethical practices. Safety Day applications are due each July 15 for Safety Days that will be conducted the following calendar year. For more information, please visit http://www.progressiveag.org.
